At some point during the production of Unpacified Futures I realised the amount of images generated for this series was overwhelming. Enough portraits of people to populate a small town. The task became one of casting, choosing from a multitude of street portraits. This created the need for a tool, something that could keep track of prompts and settings in a way that felt linear, accessible, like a website. I looked for it. It did not exist. So I built it myself. I called it promptlog, a name that carries a reference to Fotolog, an early form of social media, very popular in Chile, where one would post a single photo each day, receive comments and build a community through your daily images.
